Description
Quartz-rich sandstone and shale turbidite sequence, derived from a continental, felsic volcanic source. Uncertain age, probably a time equivalent of Cumberland Bay Fm. Outcrop restricted to central northeast coastal areas. Strongly deformed into tight-isoclinal folds that are increasingly super-imposed by a second foliation from NW to SE (Stone, 1980)1.
